Open to all young barristers of the Inn, this competition takes place via three rounds. The first round will be a 10-minute bail application or plea in mitigation, which competitors will have received by email 15 minutes in advance of their allotted time. The highest scoring competitors will then proceed to the second round.

The second round will be a 15-minute civil application, which competitors will have received 24 hours in advance of their allotted time. The top four advocates will progress to the final round.

The Final will be an appeal. Finalists will be emailed their brief on Monday 26 October 2020. Skeleton arguments must be submitted by midnight on Sunday 01 November 2020. These will then be shared between the Finalists on Monday 02 November 2020.
