Travel expenses up to £50 will be paid for the first 10 members to confirm attendance.*
Refreshments will also be provided free of charge throughout the day. The event will be topped off with a few libations at a nearby establishment.
The timetable for 4th June will be as follows:
10.00 - 10.30 Introductions and coffee/refreshments

11.30 - 11.45 Coffee Break

13.00 - 14.00 Lunch (provided)
14.15 - 16.00 Interview Advocacy Workshops
16.30 - 19.00 Drinks and Light Bites at a nearby bar
Background to the Event:
We have, for a number of years now, held a series of events at the Inn in order to help our members (up to 5 years post pupillage-completion; not students) who are still seeking pupillage.
These are usually in the spring and comprise the following: a Pupillage Application Evening, Interview Workshop Evening and an Interview Advocacy Evening.
We have been planning to expand the offering of our events outside London for sometime now having been encouraged to do so by Master Judge who as you know was Master Treasurer of Middle Temple in 2014. We also received the same encouragement from students and junior bar members at the Middle Temple Circuit Dinners over the course of last year in Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle and Leeds. We are now in a position to be able to do this for 2016 and very much hope that you will be able to help us in this new venture.
There will be a number of practitioners leading the various sessions from sets across the country.
Who can come: Middle Temple Members who have been called or who are currently studying on the BPTC and live outside London.
Due to limited space, RSVPs are required to enquiries@mtyba.org. Please state your name, Middle Temple Membership Number** and whether you would like to claim back travel (available to first 10 eligible RSVPs only*).
We are very much looking forward to this new event and hope that with the support of our members outside London, this will be a successful event for years to come.
Kind regards,
The MTYBA 2016 Committee
*travel expenses for the first ten to sign up are only available to those travelling further than 15 miles from MMU
** please email anyway and we can use other means to verify membership of Middle Temple
