Our Guest Speaker
Her Honour Judge Khatun Sapnara is a Circuit Judge and is authorised to act as a Judge of the High Court. She sits at the Central London Family Court and Kingston Crown Court, presiding over family and criminal law cases.
Judge Sapnara was the first person of Bangladeshi heritage to be appointed to a senior judicial post and she is the most senior Muslim woman in the judiciary. She was described by the Times newspaper as “commanding, authoritative and compassionate”. She serves on selection panels for the Judicial Appointments Commission and is a Trustee at the charity “Pause”. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Royal Holloway (University of London) and is an Honorary Fellow at the University of East London University.

If you have attended this event before, you know what to expect, if not, join us in celebration as we mark another year for the junior Bar at the Inn.
The dinner will be preceded by a drinks reception in the Queen's Room from 18:15 and we will be moving into the Parliament Chamber for dinner at 19:00. The dress code is Black Tie.
Tickets are available to MTYBA members and their non-MTYBA guests. Please provide us with your year of Call and Inn membership number when registering so we can confirm your details.
