Michael is serving as Vice President of MTYBA for the first time, having previously served as Pre-Pupillage Officer for two terms.
Michael is a pupil at the Government Legal Department.
Lauren is serving as Treasurer of MTYBA for the second time. She is also on the Middle Temple Hall Committee and represents Hall on the Finance & Resources Committee and on the Commercial & Operations sub-committee.
Lauren came to the Bar after a ten year career in banking. She is a tenant at Field Court Chambers.
Sarah is serving as Secretary of MTYBA for the first time.
Sarah is a pupil at Goldsmith Chambers.
Hayyan Ayaz Bhabha
Hayyan is serving as Communications Officer of MTYBA for the second time, having previously served as Secretary.
Hayyan is a self-employed paralegal. He also works in Parliament advising on racial and religious hatred, and is Executive Director of MuslimsInWW1.com - a WW1 archival project.
James is serving as Advocacy Officer of MTYBA for the second time.
James has taught law to undergraduate students, which included teaching advocacy and mooting. He further serves as director and trustee for charity, Aventure Plus.
Richard is serving as Tenancy Officer of MTYBA for the first time, having previously held the role of Pupillage Officer.
Richard is a tenant (and former pupil) at 9 Bedford Row. Previously he was a paralegal in criminal, public & coronial law and served as general counsel to a digital publishing company.
Matthew is serving as Pupillage Officer of MTYBA for the first time.
Matthew is a tenant at Lincoln House Chambers.
Matthew is serving as Pre-Pupilage Officer of MTYBA for the first time.
Matthew currently works for the employability service at a BPTC provider. He begins pupillage in October 2017.
Emma is serving as Employed Bar Representative of MTYBA for the first time.
Emma is an employed barrister at a US law firm, and a Visiting Lecturer at King's College London.
Ruth is serving as Social Secretary of MTYBA for the first time.
Ruth is a pupil at 3 Temple Gardens.
The 2017 MTYBA Committee has co-opted the following Officers to support the Committee with an ambitious work programme.
Karen assists the President with handover matters, having served as President, for two terms, and Vice-President, before that, of MTYBA.
Karen is a tenant at The 36 Group.
Michael assists the Committee in organising development activities and opportunities for MTYBA Members, having served as Tenancy Officer of MTYBA for two terms.
Michael is a tenant at Church Court Chambers.
Suzanne is serving as South-Western Circuit Representative of MTYBA for the second time.
Suzanne is a tenant at Guildhall Chambers, Bristol.
The MTYBA North Sub-Committee was co-opted to increase the presence of MTBYA, and its engagement with Members, in the northern regions.
